my table looks nothing like this for the holidays, but maybe this year! Here are some tutorials to help you stun your family and guests. They are not all sewing, but they are cute.
Napkins
This is a cute idea for napkins too look like trees. I like the words on the edge but would have opted for more green since its a tree. Get the pattern from sewing.org.

Chair Covers
This is a fun and festive ideas to dress your chairs. Santa is sure to love them on Christmas Eve. Get the pattern from sewing.org.
I really like the snowman cover, it could be used through January too, but it might get dirty with little hands. I have rounded back chairs so I would fit the pattern to them especially since snowman are round anyways. Get the tutorial from Spoonfull.
Garlands to drape on chairs and table.
Cute and easy tutorial to make felt gingerbread men. I think I would put them on a ribbon instead. Check out the tutorial at Craft Elf. You could make these dimensional buy adding a little batting. Make any shape in the same manner: snowmen, trees, snowflakes, candy canes, etc....
Recycled Christmas Card garland. What a fun way to use all those old Christmas cards.
I like this idea a lot! It is really simple to make and looks great. add some ornaments or felt characters to each side to dress then up a little. Get the tutorial The Sweetest Occasion.
Runners
I like this one a lot it would go with some of the decorations I found tutorials for and its so simple. You could do colored burlap and make it green and red or whatever matches your decor. Check out the tutorial from Ms. Redo.

Tree Table runner tutorial from May Chappell. The second one is from Tannenbaum Wool Appliques, which isn't a free pattern but you could replicate it easily or buy the pattern. The Third is from Ariane Quilts

Decorations
I love this vase made from Candy Canes, Ribbon, a Peppermint, a foam block, and clear lacquer. To do this on the cheap and with fake flowers use a cardboard box if I priced it correctly it would cost about $4-5. It would be simple to use different colored candy canes for a different look.
To make the flowers so that you can store and reuse your new vase again make them from out of burlap, ribbon, or satin, of course in coordinating colors. These tutorials from Snug as a Bug Baby for burlap flowers are amazingly simple and cute. Or try these Ruffled Satin Flowers which use ribbon, I think they look very similar to carnations without the stone. Get the tutorial from them at The Ribbon Retreat. The 3rd ones I liked are these satin ones (they also look similar to carnations) from Squeezing it all in.
These are simple and cheap, they are made with Kleenex boxes. They could be decorated any way with candy, ribbon, or fabric. Tie a ribbon around them to finish the look. I also love how they are displayed on cake tiers (make your own here or here). Thanks for the idea from It's on My List.
I really like the ease of this tutorial. I would put a piece of cardboard or cardstock so that the beads can't fall in. This would be good to add some height without blocking the conversation area too much. Check out the tutorial from Show Tell Share.
